This course is geared towards high school students and explores not just the advantages of good money management, but the consequences of bad money management. Students learn the basics of developing spending plans and setting SMART financial goals. They explore options for saving money, such as GICs, RRSPs and TFSAs. They are also introduced to different methods of borrowing money, including credit cards and loans, while examining the factors that contribute to the true cost of borrowing.
